Frequently Asked Questions
What time does the race start?
The race starts at 10:30am and the junior race starts at 9:30am. Please allow enough time to park and collect your number from the race HQ.
Are the numbers posted out?
All the numbers are collected on the day. Not only does it keep the cost down it ensure that none are lost on route.
What is the course like?
Please see our course details page.
There is also a video from a previous years event to give you a taste of what to expect.
Is it chip timed?
Yes. We will be using StuWeb chip timing again in 2016. All results will be posted on line.
Is there car parking facilities?
There are a number of car parks in Trent Park and an overspill car park will be opened. We will have car parking assistants to help you park before the race. However, the park will still be open to other park users and there is a Junior Triffic Trail at 09:30. If you can use public transport or car share it would help ease any potential congestion. It is advisable to arrive early. If the car parks are full then you will be asked to park outside the park and walk in.
Can I get there by public transport?
Yes. We are probably one of the few trail race events that is easy to access via public transport. Cockfosters station, on the Piccadilly Line, is a almost next door to the entrance to Trent Park (the other side of the BP Garage). It’s about a 10-15 minute walk from the station to the start area.
Are there any water stations?
Yes. There are a number of water stations on the course and you will be provided with a bottle of water at the finish.
More details can be found on our course information page.
Is there somewhere to store bags (baggage drop)?
Yes we do offer a baggage drop to store your bags.
Ideally all your items should be in one bag and this should be fully closed so nothing can drop out.
This can get busy the close to the race start. Therefore, you are advised to store your bag early to avoid the queues.
Please note, as with all races that offer this service, we do not accept responsibility for any items lost or damaged.
Will there be first aiders present?
Yes. We will employ two Event First Aiders who will be available throughout the race around the finish area. A number of Trent Park Running Club members, who marshal the course, are first aiders and will also be available on the day if necessary.
We also have systems in place to get first aiders and emergency response out on the course should the need arise.
Will the event be approved and licenced?
Yes. The relevant local permission will be sought from Enfield Council and we will apply for a race licence from The Trail Running Association.
